If you are a hiker, the Granite Mountain hike is a great one! You will enjoy it. But I would not hike it when it is hot, I think I hiked it in October when it was cooler.

There is no real cover going up, until you reach the top. And then you are greeted by a a beautiful pine forest and magnificent color in the bowl.

It was a beautiful, clear day starting out. 3/4 of the way up it started raining. Unpredictable mountain weather. Here is the top almost.

It will beat your shins up hopping rock to rock coming down.
